Elect Elmer Mobley | Williamson County School Board, District One

Invest in the future of District One...

Every child
Every teacher
Every school

I am seeking your support to represent District One Williamson County School Board to be a strong voice for:

  • Ensuring every child has what they need to succeed and thrive in our schools
  • Engagement with our communities and schools to ensure we are represented as a united voice
  • Support for the amazing educators who are the heartbeat of our schools

Why I'm Running

I want to be a strong advocate for the teachers, support staff, administrators and (most importantly) students in District One.

Every Child

I am committed to help orchestrate an environment where every student receives what they need to develop to their full academic potential.

That includes: establishing clear, ambitious goals for academic achievement and driving continuous improvement; developing a data-driven, long-term strategic plan that guides equitable resource allocation, policy decisions, and program development; and creating policies that support innovation and student success while ensuring efficient operations and fiscal responsibility.

Every School

The success of our schools depends on open communication, informed decision-making, and community engagement. I am committed to building trust and collaboration with all stakeholders, working tirelessly to achieve a brighter future for all students in our district.

Many of the issues our District One schools face are very different from most other schools in our system. Your school board representative should be a voice for the faculty, parents and students that make up our district.

Every Educator

Our staff, teachers and administrators are the primary reason our schools are the best in the state. Our teachers are highly trained professionals who’ve devoted their lives to teaching and we should help build partnerships with them for the benefit of our children.

Our teachers and staff deserve competitive compensation, meaningful professional development opportunities, and policies that foster a positive and supportive work environment.

Support My Campaign

Let’s work together to make Williamson County Schools the best it can be for all students.

About Me

If elected, I will work tirelessly to ensure that all of our District One schools have the resources they need to provide a world-class education to our students. This includes advocating for increased funding for our schools, supporting our teachers, staff and administrators, and promoting policies that support all students’ opportunities to succeed.

I‘ve been fortunate to be married for 30 years to my wife, Tiffany. She is an accomplished teaching professional who holds her National Board Certification and has been awarded Teacher of the Year in Williamson County and State of Tennessee. As the spouse of a public school teacher, I know the struggles our educators and supporting staff face each day. I also know how dedicated and passionate the teachers, administrators and supporting staff are in all of our schools. Retaining our current exceptional teachers and hiring new talented teachers should be a major priority for us.

We are the proud parents of two wonderful, smart and accomplished daughters who’ve grown up attending public schools in Fairview. As a parent of children in Williamson County schools, I know how important it is that all of our students have the tools, resources and support they need to succeed.

My Experience

I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to have many educators in my family and many more that I call friends. I’ve spent almost my entire career in digital marketing and advertising but my expertise is in building teams, effective communication and building relationships.

My experience serving on other boards taught me how important it is to find consensus and common ground with all of the members. If I am elected to represent District One, it will be a priority to collaborate with other board members, central office staff, administrators, teachers and parents to define goals and chart a vision for future excellence.

A (very brief) Bio

I was born in Lexington, KY. My family moved to Middle Tennessee when I was a child. I spent most of my youth in Franklin where I attended Franklin Jr. High and Franklin High School.

I graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in English. Most of my professional career has been in digital marketing and advertising. I owned and operated a video production company for several years.

I've had the opportunity to conduct workshops and speak at conferences across the U.S. and Canada talking about successful digital marketing strategies.

Over the years, I have been able to offer my experience and skills to organizations that do great work in the service of promoting environmental education. I had the honor to serve as a Sustaining Sponsor of the North American Association of Environmental Education from 2007-2012. I donated photo and video editing services to the Murray State University and Western Kentucky University Centers for Environmental Education Summer Program for Teachers from 2003-2012.

My Community Service

Over the years, I have volunteered on various PTO's at Fairview Elementary, Fairview Middle and Fairview High school. My daughters' love of theater gave me the opportunity to donate time and services to the Fairview Middle and High School theater departments and serve on the Fairview High Thespian Boosters. I’ve also earned my share of splinters leading parent volunteers during Homecoming float builds for both of our daughters’ classes.

I co-founded the Loblolly Pine Alliance, a non-profit association dedicated to advocating for responsible growth in Fairview. Currently, I serve as Co-Chair of the City of Fairview Parks & Landscaping Board.
